A farm from 1782, lit at 2700K

Cascina Ranverso’s long restored facade gets one warm colour, fitting by fitting.

Cascina Ranverso, in the lower Susa Valley, is one of the oldest agricultural buildings in Piedmont: it was built in 17821. Today it is an agritourism farm that follows biodynamic principles1.

Grazing light brings out the restored farm’s materials, and the fixture list shows how consistent that choice is. Every luminaire listed on the project page is 2700K, many with honeycomb louvres to control glare and a colour rendering index customised to 901.

From the project

The lighting is credited to Susanna Antico Lighting Design Studio on the manufacturer’s project page1. Linear profiles with elliptical optics carry most of the facade, with small spots for details1.

In the chart below, Ranverso sits at the warm end with the Tree House at Elephant Park.
