Light for an open plan

At Bloomberg, Fisher Marantz Stone used perimeter lines, strict downlight grids and coves to give an open office order and depth.

Inspired by Bloomberg’s brand and culture, the architect LSM and Fisher Marantz Stone designed lighting that supports the company’s open-plan philosophy1. The lighting is built into the architecture to reinforce visual order1.

Perimeter linear lighting and rigorous downlight grids carry the open floors, while cove lighting adds depth by picking out the changes in the ceiling1. The project was completed in 2015 and is LEED Platinum1.
