Light the tree before the facade.

A modern house at dusk with a front tree washed in warm uplight and a lit entry court.

In this Kichler photograph, one tree in the entry court is the subject and the house stays quiet, with a few uplights on the entry screen. One warm uplight on a front tree can do more than a wash across the whole wall.

From the project

Kichler’s landscape pages describe the aim as bringing a home’s best features to life, with shadowing or with light on paths and entryways1. This frame shows the first half of that: one feature, one shadow.

The photograph is marketing, and the house and its location are not identified. We use it because it shows the idea clearly, not as a real project.
